STORIES:  

1. A Little Boy Named Avram by Dina Rosenfeld. This story is based on the Midrash. A fun story to act out too!.

 

CRAFTS:

1. If you read the book A Little Boy Named Avram, you can create puppets based on the story.  Using craft foam cut out a sun and glue it to a craft stick, then cut out a moon and glue it to a craft stick. Then make a puppet of Avram.  Then you can act out the story.
   

 

 

COOKING:  

1. Make star shaped cookies and top them with “sand” sugar (“as many children as “stars” in the sky and as many children as grains of “sand” on the beach”)

 

DRAMA:  

1. Bring in a small tent, or make one with a parachute or sheet, and act out the story.

 

MATH:  

1. Draw a suitcase on paper and have the kids draw or cut out from magazines 10 things they would take with them on their trip. Ask them to count the  items.  English and Hebrew!
