Bamidbar
Bamidbar - Multimedia Ideas
CRAFT:
- The 12 tribes each had a special symbol and flag. Make your own family flag.
- Make a flag with your Hebrew name on it, and decorate it.
MATH/LANGUAGE:
- The tribes were broken down by family names. Make a chart of how many people you know with the same name. (i.e. using the popular names in your school – Benjamin, Jacob, Joshua, Rachel, Sarah, etc..) Count each category and see which name appears most often
- Use patterning shapes to make the 12 tribes formation around the Mishkan
SCIENCE:
- Bamidbar means in the wilderness or desert. Learn about the desert. Study desert life, climate, etc…
- Using a sand table, create the formation of the tribes using animals and toys to represent each tribe. (of course play in the sand too!!)
GAME:
- There are flashcards available at www.morahmoriah.com that could be used as a lotto game if you buy two sets. They are also useful as a visual aide during the acting out of this parsha.
